Directions / How can you get here?
In case you come with your own car we will send you the directions, on demand.
If you travel by plane via Porto Airport (OPO), Aeroporto Sá Carneiro) it’s a 135km ride. We recommend hiring a car (e.g. www.sunnicars.de , www.holidayautos.de or www.billiger-mietwagen.de or www.visturauto.pt – one way is offered by VisturAuto with the return station ca. 10km from our place). All well known Car Rentals are located at Lisbon and Porto Airport. A Volkswagen Polo or an Opel Corsa are ca. 30 €/day (as of January 2011), depending somewhat on the season.
But also the journey by Metro (in Porto) and the Portuguese Railway is very comfortable and only costs you ca. 20 - 25 €/person. You might go by taxi from Sta. Comba Dão (Vimieiro) to our house (ca. 30km).
If you travel by plane via Lisbon Airport (LIS) it takes you 3 ½ hrs. The Portuguese Railway (CP) provides a relatively good connection from Lisbon-Oriente to Santa Comba Dão (Vimieiro) at reasonable fares. You might go by taxi from Sta. Comba Dão (Vimieiro) to our house (ca. 30km).
In general we could also pick you at the railway station in Vimieiro and bring you back to the station at the end of your holidays. Each tour is 15 €.
