What the heck is wwoofing?
For free board and lodging anybody interested in working on an organic farm might come and live with us while learning the techniques of Organic Farming. Working hours: 30hrs/week (5 working days). Accommodation: in our holiday apartment in our house.
We have best potable water of our own spring (mine), Solar Hot Water, photovoltaic electricity and a pellet-/wood boiler.
Working - depending on the season: Viniculture (pruning, care, vintage), vegetable production (sowing, planting, care, harvesting), pomiculture/fruit-growing (care, harvesting) incl. maintenance and repair of machines and garden tools/equipment, making firewood etc. Experience in organic farming or gardening or “normal” farming are pretty much appreciated but not a pre-condition.
Duration/wwoofing period: according to prior agreement between 2 weeks and 1 month
Animals: We owe two cute cats living only outside.
Languages: English (good), Portuguese (middle)
Directions: You may come here by train or by auto bus. We will organise the shuttle from and to the station.
